2024 is a major anniversary year for three major choral composers: the 200th anniversary of Anton Bruckner's birth and the 100th death anniversary of Charles Villiers Stanford and Gabriel Fauré. And we pre-celebrate the 500th anniversary (in 2025) of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina.
Our concert includes smaller works by Bruckner and Stanford, Palestrina's "Missa Aeterna Christi munera" and Fauré’s gorgeous and beloved “Requiem,” accompanied by members of Berks Sinfonietta.
All ticket revenue will be donated to local charity, so by attending you join us in helping neighbors in need. WE look forward to seeing you on May 18th for an evening of wonderful choral music.
