Join EgoPo Classic Theater for our Season Kickoff Cabaret - a staged concert version of Two Gentlemen of Verona, adapted by John Guare & Mel Shapiro with lyrics by John Guare and music by Galt MacDermot (Hair). Directed by Brenna Geffers with Music Direction by Sarah Dennis.

In 1971, after the success of House of Blue Leaves, Mel Shapiro and the Public Theater asked John Guare to help transform Shakespeare's Two Gentlemen of Verona into a rock musical.

This madcap tale of love, friendship, and betrayal won Guare the Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical and beat out Grease and Follies for Best Musical.

Take this rare opportunity to see a different side of Guare's work, a glass of wine in hand.
The Latvian Society is NOT fully handicap accessible, as there are stairs leading to the performance space. For further information, please call Shayna at 267-273-1414.
