    What's better than spending time outside with friends and listening to some great music? With some amazing festivals and artists coming to Philly this spring and summer, there is something for everyone. In honor of our Spring into Summer promotion presented by PNC Arts Alive, here are some of the outdoor concerts that we are looking forward to this season.     Radio 104.5 Summer Block Parties

     

    Welcome to the summer of 2016! It wouldn't be complete without The Radio 104.5 Summer Block Parties! This year's Summer Block Party dates are May 1st, June 5th, July 10th, August 7th and September 18th. All concerts are FREE but you MUST have a ticket to get in. Check Radio 104.5's website for information on how to get tickets!

    Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone with the Philadelphia Orchestra

     

    The Harry Potter™ film series is one of those once-in-a-lifetime cultural phenomena that continues to delight millions of fans around the world. This world premiere concert will feature The Philadelphia Orchestra performing every note from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone™. Audiences will be able to relive the magic of the film in high-definition on a giant screen while hearing the orchestra perform John Williams’ unforgettable score.

    Party on the Parkway

     

    Largest, free, outdoor concert event in America on Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway for Independence Day. From 12pm to 5 pm is the Meet Your Neighbors Block Party with music, food, fun, and games. From 5pm to 8pm is Concert on the Parkway – a tribute to the Sound of Philadelphia and Gamble & Huff. From 8pm to 10pm is a musical performance by Philadelphia POPS! Concluded with the Fireworks on the Parkway at 10pm.

    Rock 'N' Roar at Philadelphia Zoo

     

    Get ready to boogie, Rock ‘N’ Roar is back! This summer, Philadelphia Zoo kicks off Rock 'N' Roar, a concert series which begins on June 14th and continues every other Tuesday through August 23th. This fun-filled, outdoor music event takes place at 11:00 a.m. on Impala Lawn and showcases some of the area’s top family-friendly performers including: Steve Pullara and His Cool Beans Band, Ernie and Neal, Yosi & the Superdads, Cris & Lou, The Paisley Pickles and Lolly & YoYo. The festivities are included in the price of Zoo admission.

    XPoNential Music Festival 2016

     

    The XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru offers an unparalleled experience for music discovery. With a lineup of established and up-and-coming artists heard on WXPN 88.5FM, the award-winning Philadelphia public radio station, along with a variety of family-friendly activities, the XPoNential Music Festival has been pleasing audiences of all ages for more than a decade on the Camden Waterfront. As we’ve done for the last four years, we're excited to expand our festival grounds into the BB&T Pavilion as part of the festival. Every XPoNential Music Festival 3-Day Go Everywhere Pass-holder will have access to theLAWN AREA at BB&T Pavilion for the Ryan Adams/Kurt Vile on Friday, July 22,Alabama Shakes/Gary Clark Jr on Saturday, July 23, and Brandi Carlile/Old Crow Medicine Show on Sunday, July 24.
