Bannerly Love III – A Walk in Sister Cities Park
Presented by Center City District at Sister Cities Park June 14, 2012 For the third year in a row, students from the Art Institute of Philadelphia will repurpose CCD street banners into wearable art. The event features one-of-a-kind, matching dog and dog-walker couture modeled by dogs from PAWS, the local dog animal rescue. PAWS will be on-site to promote adoption opportunities. Bastille Day
Presented by Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site at Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site July 14, 2012 It's one of Philadelphia’s most popular summertime events! Eastern State Penitentiary teams with Philadelphia cabaret act The Bearded Ladies and local businesses for a playful reenactment of the Storming of the Bastille (influenced more by Monty Python than the French Revolution), followed by a French-themed street party.
