Presented by ICPIC New Africa Center at Great Plaza at Penn's Landing June 9, 2012 The 20th Annual Islamic Heritage Festival & Parade weekend promises to be larger and more diverse than ever. The Islamic Heritage Festival is the largest Muslim festival in the country and is one of the largest multi-ethnic festival held at Penns landing each year. Over 5,000 people are expected to attend. This family friendly festival is free and open to public.

Transit of Venus
Presented by American Philosophical Society Museum at American Philosophical Society Museum June 1-June 10, 2012 On Tuesday, June 5th, the world will witness a rare astronomical event. It is called a Transit of Venus. The planet Venus will be visible moving across the disk of the sun, beginning at about 6 pm in Philadelphia.
