The Obstacle Course through History - A National Trails Day Walk
Presented by Friends of Delaware Canal Locktender's House at Holiday Inn Express June 2, 2012 The Canal towpath from Morrisville to Bristol has many trail designations. It is a National Recreation Trail, a portion of the D (Delaware) & L (Lehigh) Trail that runs from Wilkes Barre to Bristol, and a part of the East Coast Greenway that will provide a trail system between Maine and Florida. There are high aspirations for this 10-mile stretch of Canal towpath, but there are significant obstacles to overcome before it becomes an easy-to-use trail.
