In 1967 a group of African-American teenagers in Philadelphia made this hybrid documentary/dramatization of their lives in the 12th and Oxford Street gang. Join Scribe for this in-person screening of The Jungle, declared “an American treasure” by the Library of Congress and selected for inclusion in the National Film Registry and a celebration of production facilitator Harold Haskins, filmmaker and long time member of the Dean’s Office at the University of Pennsylvania.
