Patriots and Loyalists Fairmount Park Trolley Tour
Presented by Philadelphia Museum of Art at Philadelphia Museum of Art July 15, 2012 Hear the story behind the shifting lines of revolutionary politics at Mount Pleasant (1762-65), Laurel Hill (1767), and Woodford (1756). Departing from and returning to the Philadelphia Museum of Art's West Entrance, this tour provides transportation to several sites in Fairmount Park. Knowledgeable and engaging guides will bring the houses and the trolley ride alive with stories from the sites. Tour concludes with llight refreshments. Includes admission to all three sites.

Mixed Media and Photo Encaustic Workshop
Presented by Main Line Art Center at Main Line Art Center July 15, 2012 Join Philadelphia artist Leah MacDonald for two days of intensive instruction to learn the basics of combining photography and encaustic media. Students will learn the history of the encaustic medium, how to paint with beeswax, methods for combining encaustic with photography, techniques for creating surface textures and mark-making, and receive an introduction to painting with oils and paintsticks.
