5K Run/1-Mile Walk for Literacy
Presented by Literacy Council of Norristown at Norristown Farm Park June 16, 2012 The Literacy Counci of Norristown will be holding a 5K Run/1 Mile Walk for Literacy at the Norristown Farm Park with registration at Whitehall Elementary School. Follow detour signs. Proceeds will benefit adults receiving free literacy instruction in Norristown and the surrounding communities.

We'll collect and classify aquatic insects and use seine nets to catch fish. Wear old sneakers for going into the water or water shoes with heel straps. No rain boots please!

French Creek Iron Tour
Presented by French and Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust at Kimberton Fire Company June 10, 2012 This is the 10th annual cycling event for open space. The ride begins at Kimberton Fire Company Fairgrounds. Courses for riders of all ages and experience, 10, 20, 34, 50, 64, 75 and 100-mile courses through scenic northern Chester County. 1800 riders are expected and must be registered by June 5th. There will be no day-of-event registration. Free T-shirts are given to registrants through May 29th. After that the registration fee goes up to $50. Jerseys are available for sale as well.
