Memorial Day Weekend Celebration

Spring Bird Migration

Join an expert birder to search the forest and fields for native birdlife. Many birds are just passing through on their way to northern breeding grounds. The interactive program “Cleaning & Mending, Repairing, Extending: The Non-Disposable 18th- Century Textile” will feature a variety of living history activities and demonstrations throughout the day. These will include colonial laundry, dyeing, sewing, mending, ironing, and more.

Summer Fun in the Creek

What species of fish and aquatic insects live there? We'll use seine nets and containers to catch a few specimens for identification. Everything will be released unharmed. Prepare to get wet!
