This spring, in addition to productions, there will be three other Shakespeare productions going on in the Philadelphia area. The Plays: Macbeth and A Midsummer Night's Dream – The Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre; King Lear – People’s Light and Theatre Company; Romeo and Juliet, Henry IV, Part 1 – Lantern Theater Company.  Attendees will hear a keynote address about the current trends and future of Shakespeare in Performance from two Shakespeare Scholars: Dr. Matthew Kozusko from Ursinus College and Dr. Annalisa Castaldo from Widener University. Following will be five sessions dedicated to each of the five different plays. The sessions will consist of an introduction from the scholars and a presentation from each theatre company about their specific production. There will be scheduled question and answer at the end of each session.
