Independence Visitor Center

Located at 6th and Market Streets, the Independence Visitor Center is located on Independence Mall, across from the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. The Visitor Center provides the millions of visitors who travel to Philadelphia with a free, comprehensive orientation to the culture, history, shopping and dining options available throughout the Greater Philadelphia region in an environment that is welcoming and convenient for travelers. The Visitor Center is also the location to pick-up your free timed-ticket to tour Independence Hall.

The tour focuses on interesting and fun stories of the men and women who defined Philadelphia so many years ago.

This easily navigated audio tour is available for rent at the Independence Visitor Center. The tour includes a lightweight CD player and a detailed map that includes 20 important historic sites and 64 narrated segments.
      09/19/11- 03/31/12	Real Philly Tour Independence Visitor Center Real Philly Tour Presented by Free Tours by Foot at Independence Visitor Center September 19, 2011-March 31, 2012 Philadelphia is proud to present the new All-in-One Philadelphia Tour, a 4-hour tour that takes you beyond historic Independence Mall and introduces you to some of the lesser known sites of this great city. This tour takes place every Saturday and includes the sites and smells of Chinatown, the funkiness of South Street and the Italian Market, and the wonderful artwork of mural mile. It's a combination history, food, culture and mural tour all wrapped into one!
