Delaware Art Museum

Founded in 1912, the Delaware Art Museum holds a world-renowned collection of more than 12,000 works that focus on American art and illustration from the 19th to the 21st century, as well as the English Pre-Raphaelite movement of the mid-19th century. Newly renovated and expanded, the Delaware Art Museum offers a nine-acre Sculpture Park, the Helen Farr Sloan Library and Archives, Studio Art classes, an interactive Kids' Corner learning area, the delART Café featuring free Wi-Fi access, and the Museum Store with distinctive books and gifts.

    Access Information: Three handicap parking spaces are available near the back entrance.

    Blind/VI Access: Touch tours can be arranged with 4 weeks advance notice; audio description available occasionally. Handouts are available in large print.

    Deaf/Hearing Access: Sign Language interpretation available upon request with 48 hours notice. Assistive listening devices available for certain highly attended events/exhibits.

    Wheelchair Access: Museum facilities all on ground level. Entrances, exhibits, library, café and gift store are accessible. Wheelchairs are available for public use.

      Art is Social Delaware Art Museum Art is Social Presented by Delaware Art Museum at Delaware Art Museum June 8, 2012 Kick off summer with a beer garden party in the Museum’s Copeland Sculpture Garden! Explore nine acres of dramatic sculptures and enjoy lawn games, free beer and wine tastings provided by Frank’s Union Wine Mart, craft beer, and live original music performed by Philadelphia singer/songwriter Jesse Ruben. Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged.
