Community Arts Center

The Community Arts Center was founded in 1948 by a group of local artists. During its long and successful history the Center has continually pursued excellence in all areas of its programs including classes and workshops, performances, lectures, exhibits and childrens programming. In addition to regularly scheduled exhibitions, there is work permanently on view on the second floor.

      Designer Show House Community Arts Center Designer Show House Presented by Community Arts Center at Community Arts Center May 1-May 27, 2012 Community Arts Center will showcase the art of fine design in a Designer Show House. Featuring some of the most notable interior and landscape designers in the area, and artwork from Community Arts Center’s fine artists, participating designers and decorators will make over a historic,elegant stone farm house in Rose Valley built by EK Crothers of Media for the prominent Beatty family in 1928, and transform it into a luxurious space featuring the latest decorating styles and trends.

A regular performer on BBC Radio in the 1970s and 1980s, Dickie made hundreds of appearances as a soloist and with his trio.
