    Sovereign Performing Art Center

    Comment on Facebook

Since the doors of the Sovereign Center and Sovereign Performing Arts opened, it has played host to a number of sold out concerts and family shows including Stevie Nicks, Disney on Ice, Elton John, Cher, Kenny Chesney, Yanni, Brooks and Dunn, The Eagles, Rod Stewart, The Wiggles, and more. The addition of the Reading Eagle Theater came in the summer of 2004 when the Reading Eagle Newspaper purchased naming rights to this, one-of-a-kind, universal theater configuration. This new set-up turns the Sovereign Center into a smaller, more intimate setting for shows ranging in size from 2,500 to 4,500 patrons. Artists such as Dolly Parton, Dave Koz, Marilyn Manson and Brad Paisley have all played the Reading Eagle Theater in either sold out or nearly sold out capacities. The future of Reading looks brighter as more and more national concert promoters are targeting this venue for bigger and better shows all of the time.
