    Black Rock Sanctuary

    Comment on Facebook

Black Rock is located between Phoenixville and the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission boat ramp, about 1 mile north of Phoenixville on Route 113. Black Rock is one of 16 de-silting basins found along the Schuylkill River, consisting of wetlands, woodlands and meadows and is dedicated to wildlife habitat and public use. There are opportunities to discover the history, geology, wildlife, plant life and habitats of the basin, and an interpretive trail contains fun, educational stations. A PFBC access at the north end provides river access for boating and fishing.
