Brandywine Zoo

Open since 1905, Delaware's only zoo is located a few steps from the Brandywine River. The 12-acre zoo features Siberian tigers, river otters, and other animals native to the Americas and the temperate areas of Asia. A state-of-the-art Andean Condor exhibit features a 110,000-cubic-foot fly cage. Admission is charged from April through October.

Meet jungle critters up close and personal in this event designed to enlighten you to the beauty and mysteries of the jungle! Snack bar onsite. Free parking.
      08/04/12- 08/05/12	Shades of Green Brandywine Zoo Shades of Green Presented by Brandywine Zoo at Brandywine Zoo August 4-August 5, 2012 How green are you? How green do you want to be? Discover your personal shade of green and learn some helpful tips to become a deeper, richer shade! This event will include live animal encounters, green crafts and activities and much more!
      09/22/12	Zoo Fiesta (Bi-Lingual Celebration) Brandywine Zoo Zoo Fiesta (Bi-Lingual Celebration) Presented by Brandywine Zoo at Brandywine Zoo September 22, 2012 The Brandywine Zoo and the Latin American Community Center of Delaware present Wild Fiesta! Learn about endangered species from Latin countries and more importantly, learn how you can make a difference! This bilingual event will include: crafts, face painting, music, story time and more...all in Spanish and English!  And what’s a fiesta without a piñata? Observe several Zoo animals at play with their own special piñatas!

Presented by Brandywine Zoo at Brandywine Zoo October 27, 2012 Kids, celebrate Halloween at Brandywine Zoo’s merry (not scary) event Boo at the Zoo! Enjoy a day of fun games, animal enrichment programs, live critters, and trick-or-trinkets! Children (and their grown-ups) are encouraged to wear their favorite dress-up costumes! Snack bar onsite!

There will be have games, crafts and a celebratory atmosphere as the clock strikes 12 (Noon that is!) Pre-registration required by December 29th.
