Brandywine River Museum

Exhibiting American art in a 19th-century gristmill, the Brandywine River Museum is internationally known for its unparalled collection of works by three generations of Wyeths and its outstanding collection of American illustrations, still life and landscape painting. Outdoors, wildflower gardens surround the museum in glorious color from spring through autumn.

    Access Information: Advance notice recommended for special tours or accommodations. Call ext. 8366 for information and group reservations.

    Blind/VI Access: Live audio descriptions and guided tours available by reservation. Call to make arrangements.

    Wheelchair Access: A ramped entrance is available on the riverside of the museum into the lower level. Assistance is available at the entrance and may be required. Reserved paved parking spaces are located on the riverside of the parking lot.

      05/26/12- 05/28/12	41st Annual Antiques Show Brandywine River Museum 41st Annual Antiques Show Presented by Brandywine River Museum at Brandywine River Museum May 26-May 28, 2012 Outstanding antiques from across the nation are featured at the Brandywine River Museum Antiques Show. This event, hosted by the Museum Volunteers, presents a variety of American and English furniture, glass, metalware, ceramics, folk art, quilts, Oriental and European porcelain, rugs and other fine collectibles. Proceeds support the Museum Volunteers’ Art Purchase Fund.

Wyeth House & Studio Tour Presented by Brandywine River Museum at Brandywine River Museum April 1-November 18, 2012 Visit the home where N.C. Wyeth and his wife raised five talented children (including great American painter Andrew Wyeth) and his studio, maintained as he left it when he died in 1945.

This family friendly event begins with a relaxing canoe ride down the Brandywine and ends with a barbecue and live music. Canoes included in the cost. Tip-a-Canoe and Barbecue Too! is a great way to visit with friends while seeing what the Conservancy has done to protect the Brandywine Valley. All proceeds benefit the Conservancy.
