      Marriage by Nikolai Gogol Walnut Street Theatre - Studio 5 Marriage by Nikolai Gogol Presented by Idiopathic Ridiculopathy Consortium at Walnut Street Theatre - Studio 5 February 8-February 26, 2012 From Nikolai Gogol, one of Russia’s most heralded writers, comes a poetic and hilarious seldom-performed fractured fairy tale about the business of marriage. A town matchmaker and a newly-betrothed busybody match wits in a race to marry off a gun-shy suitor. Calamity ensues and it’s anybody’s guess whether the bride will make it to the altar. Written in 1833, Marriage is as fresh and fun today as the day it was conceived.
