Brandywine Battlefield Park
The Brandywine Battlefield Park brings to life the largest engagement of the Revolutionary War, fought on September 11, 1777, between the Continental Army led by General George Washington and the British forces headed by General William Howe. The park has a Visitor Center with a museum and a gift shop. On the grounds of the park are both Washington's headquarters and Lafayette's quarters. Bring a picnic and enjoy the grounds as you talk about one chapter in the book we call America.
