Bowmans Hill Wildflower Preserve

Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve is the premier destination for seeing and learning about the native plants of Pennsylvania. The 100-acre Preserve features nearly 1000 species of native plants in a naturalistic setting, ready for you to discover. Enjoy picturesque woodlands, meadows, a pond and Pidcock Creek set amidst a changing collection of wildflowers, birds and wildlife.

      Guided Wildflower Walk Bowmans Hill Wildflower Preserve Guided Wildflower Walk Presented by Bowmans Hill Wildflower Preserve at Bowmans Hill Wildflower Preserve May 7-May 31, 2013 We offer visitors of all ages a guided tour of the Preserve daily, Tuesday to Sunday, from April 2 through October 31. See flowers and fruits in season and discover fun facts about their use. Learn about the Preserve’s history, habitats, and important plant/animal interactions while enjoying the beauty of our trails. Preserve staff or our talented Volunteer Naturalists lead the tours. Tours leave from the Visitor Center for a minimum of two visitors, weather permitting.

Meet at Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve on River Road for a guided tour along the Delaware Canal towpath to the Locktender's House in New Hope, PA (2.5 miles one way). Suggested Donation $5 Free gift bags & treats for all canine and human participants! Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a 6' or less leash. No retractable leashes. Rain cancels. Join Susan Gerardi Bello for a poetry workshop at the Preserve. Come for a morning of quiet reflection, nature walks, and impromptu writing. Participants will take part in writing exercises inspired by the Preserve and will have the opportunity to share their poems with peers. No experience needed – all levels are welcome!
