Sister Cities Park

Sister Cities Park, on Logan Square at 18th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, has something for everyone. This newly renovated 1.2 acre park offers diverse activities and options for quiet respite in a beautiful landscape. Families can explore the Children’s Discovery Garden, buy boats to float in the boat pond, grab a bite to eat at Milk & Honey Café or just sit and relax at Sister Cities Fountain and enjoy the picturesque views. Special activities are scheduled daily. Staff at the Park’s Visitor Center are on hand to assist with tour and ticket information to help make the most of your visit to area museums and attractions. The Academy is home to more than 100 live animals and on Thursdays this summer they're bringing them to you. Get up close with a crawly invertebrate or get radical with reptiles. Discover the life that inhabits a garden, examine the properties of water, get buggy with bugs during this hands on nature experience. This program is designed for ages 8 and younger and is an excellent opportunity to get outside and discover the natural world in which we live. FREE
