Torresdale Boys Club

 The 2010 General Membership meetings at Torresdale Boys Club are scheduled for the second Thursday night of every month beginning at 9:00 PM. Mark your calendar’s now for the entire year and attend as many as possible. Minutes from the prior monthly meeting as well as the minutes from the Board meeting are read followed by the Treasury report. After various reports from the directors, the floor is open for discussion on old and new business. The general meetings are normally no longer than one hour. If you attend three of the general meetings out of six scheduled consecutive general meetings you are considered a voting member. Voting members are eligible to nominate other voting members for positions on the Executive Board and the Board of Directors at the September meeting. In October our members participate in elections for the positions with the results based on a majority vote. These positions are for terms of two years with the elections for them alternating every year. Other benefits of voting members are a $20 discount on every seasonal registration as well as the privilege of renting our clubhouse for family affairs at a minimal fee compared to other hall rentals. Our Father’s Club meetings are on the fourth Thursday night of every month also at 8:30 pm. The Father’s Club meets to discuss ideas on fundraisers and improvements to the club in general. We are always looking for help and we welcome your input, talents and participation. We are currently looking for volunteers to assist in the kitchen on Friday night’s and Saturday’s during the basketball season. The Father’s Club is recruiting help for the concession stand on the ball fields in the spring.

It combines the skills of lacrosse, field hockey, and ice hockey to maintain the high speed and continuous flow of action on the grass. Na Toraidhe competitively play the Irish sport of hurling. Let them know if you're coming and they'll have all equipment waiting for you!
