Independence National Historical Park

The most historic square mile in the most historic city in America. Independence National Historical Park, locally referred to as Independence Mall, covers several blocks of Old City Philadelphia. All of the park buildings and sites are associated with colonial Philadelphia and the American Revolution. Major attractions include the Liberty Bell, Christ Church, Independence Hall and City Tavern. Open daily. Cell phone tours available! Call us toll free at 800-537-7676.

    Spring Opening of the Germantown White House Deshler-Morris House Spring Opening of the Germantown White House Presented by Independence National Historical Park at Deshler-Morris House April 6-October 28, 2012 The oldest official presidential residence, the Germantown White House, (Deshler-Morris House) twice sheltered George Washington. In October 1793, he found refuge during the Yellow Fever epidemic in Philadelphia. Continuing the business of government, he held four cabinet meetings there. The next summer, it was a welcome retreat for him and his family near Philadelphia, the Federal Capital.

    Independence National Historical Park Cell Phone Tour Independence National Historical Park Independence National Historical Park Cell Phone Tour Presented by Independence National Historical Park at Independence National Historical Park June 11, 2010 - Ongoing Independence National Historical Park is pleased to announce a new cell phone program. By dialing 267-519-4295 visitors are able to listen 24/7 to the stories the buildings tell. Park Rangers briefly explain the history behind the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Washington Square and the other park buildings. Designed to be user friendly and flexible, visitors may access the stops in any order or go in sequence for a tour of the park. Small signs are posted around the park with the numbers...
