The Center offers walking tours, changing & permanent exhibitions, kids workshops, lectures, film screenings, and book talks on architecture, urban planning, and design. Exhibitions are always free; some programs have a fee associated with them. Browse our selection of unique designer gifts and books at the AIA Bookstore & Design Center, located in the Center. The Center's facilities are available to rent for private and public parties, receptions, lectures, forums, or any event you can imagine. We are also home to the Philadelphia chapter of the AIA and the Community Design Collaborative.

    Design Advocacy Group Monthly Meeting Philadelphia Center for Architecture Design Advocacy Group Monthly Meeting Presented by Philadelphia Center for Architecture at Philadelphia Center for Architecture September 3, 2009 - Ongoing Come learn about, comment on, and debate planning projects in and around the Philadelphia region. DAG meetings are often the first place the public can learn about these projects, from proposals for casinos to plans for public parks. The mission of the Design Advocacy Group is to provide an independent and informed public voice for design quality in the architecture and physical planning of the Philadelphia region.

    Emergence of a Modern Metropolis Philadelphia Walking Tour Philadelphia Center for Architecture Emergence of a Modern Metropolis Philadelphia Walking Tour Presented by Philadelphia Center for Architecture at Philadelphia Center for Architecture March 7, 2009 - Ongoing Guests can experience the transformation of Philadelphia from an engine of industry to a 21st century capital of business and culture. Featuring the architecture and urban design of the city, the Center for Architecture's two hour walking tour will introduce you to the Modern Metropolis of Philadelphia. The tour explores Philadelphia's diverse range of architecture from the 1870s to the present, discovering the social, economic, and political forces that shaped the modern cityscape. Tickets...
