The Community Arts Center in Wallingford was founded in 1948. Now serving more than 14,000 people each year, CAC offers countless opportunities to create and experience the arts for children and adults of all ages. The Community Arts Center’s home is a 123-year-old estate on four acres; one of Delaware County’s most historic and architecturally interesting properties.

    06/03/13- 06/13/13	Bridge to Summer: Pre-K Camp for ages 3-5 Community Arts Center Bridge to Summer: Pre-K Camp for ages 3-5 Presented by Community Arts Center at Community Arts Center June 3-June 13, 2013 Fun art activities and lots of outdoor play in the early June sunshine are the focus of this 2-week program for kids ages 3-5. We will go on nature walks, play with clay and have a good time with new friends. This is a great opportunity for families with older kids still in school for a few weeks to extend their pre-K child's morning care.

This 3-day mini-camp allows kids to experiment with many different art mediums such as painting, tie dyeing, drawing and much more. We will explore basic drawing, painting and printmaking techniques while learning about adventurous artists such as Van Gogh, Jackson Pollock and others, and replicate some of their techniques!

During this 3-day camp we will explore nature through the lens of a camera. Using your own digital camera, you will photograph trees, plants, insects and the natural environment that can be found near and around the beautiful grounds of the Community Arts Center. And don't forget to bring your lunch for a picnic!

Steel drumming is a unique musical tradition from Trinidad. Campers in this 3-day intenstive program will learn to play songs on professional quality steel drum musical instruments. A hands-on history of the invention and evolution of steel drums will be taught and experienced with precursor instruments provided, such as skin drums and bamboo.
