EgoPo, the award-winning theatre company most recently located in New Orleans, is committed to producing the challenging modernist classics and contemporary epics with innovative approaches that re-enliven them. The EgoPo Company of ten actors undergo grueling training to create a vocal and physical style of acting that is extremely dynamic, yet remains textually driven. EgoPo, whose name derives from the French ''The Physical Self'' was born in 1991 as a name for a theater company as well as an acting style. In their work, EgoPo draws on the belief that by listening to the body and following its impulses the actor will find greater emotional truth. EgoPo audiences, in turn, are swept into visceral and electrifying experiences.

    The Dybbuk Prince Music Theater The Dybbuk Presented by EgoPo Productions at Prince Music Theater May 31-June 17, 2012 America's first son of playwrighting, Tony Kushner, brings his flare for poetry matched with humanity in his version of the greatest Jewish Play ever written. A story of love, ghosts and faith set is set in a 19th century Polish village where a wedding celebration is interrupted by a supernatural presence. This Tony, Pulitzer and Academy Award winner's words matched with EgoPo's magical and physically powerful staging makes this a must see.
