    Grounds for Sculpture

Grounds For Sculpture, a non-profit organization supported by a public charitable foundation, has become recognized as a leading showcase for contemporary sculpture since its inaugural exhibition in 1992. Its site was formerly a part of the New Jersey State Fairgrounds. The two museum buildings, each 10,000 square feet, provide indoor spaces for seasonally changing one-person and group exhibitions. This verdant setting forms the background approximately 200 large-scale contemporary sculptures, ranging stylistically from geometric abstraction to life-like figurative representations, and executed in either traditional media or more recently adapted industrial materials. By prominent and emerging American and international artists, some pieces are in the sculpture park's growing collection, while others are on loan for terms of at least one year.
