The Players Club of Swarthmore is a community theater in Swarthmore, PA that is focused on the production of plays, musical plays, musical entertainments and staged reading performances. PCS provides artistic education, training, and development for their members and enhances the educational and charitable benefit of the community.

    I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change The Players Club of Swarthmore I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change Presented by The Players Club of Swarthmore at The Players Club of Swarthmore February 10-February 25, 2012 This celebration of the mating game takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum known as "the relationship." Act I explores the journey from dating and waiting to love and marriage, while Act II reveals the agonies and triumphs of in-laws and newborns, trips in the family car and pick-up techniques of the geriatric set. In this delightful dramatization, by Michele L. Vacca, of the saga about the boy who found a Magic Lamp, and was befriended by a powerful Genie! Jump on the magic carpet and join us this February!
    03/16/12- 03/31/12	Over the River and Through the Woods The Players Club of Swarthmore Over the River and Through the Woods Presented by The Players Club of Swarthmore at The Players Club of Swarthmore March 16-March 31, 2012 Nick has always lived in Hoboken’s Little Italy, where his immigrant grandparents still feed him dinner every Sunday. They can’t understand why the rest of the family has moved up and out. Nick’s plan to do the same incites the grandparents to a desperate plot involving a bewildered Irish girl and lots of food. What is Nick to do? The results will simultaneously tickle your funny bone and pull at your heart strings.
    04/20/12- 05/12/12	Children of Eden The Players Club of Swarthmore Children of Eden Presented by The Players Club of Swarthmore at The Players Club of Swarthmore April 20-May 12, 2012 Stephen Schwartz (Godspell) takes on the Old Testament this time in a moving, foot-stomping musical. The renowned composer, whose works also include Wicked and Disney’s movie Pocahontas, here partners with John Caird (les Misérables) to juxtapose the stories of Adam & Eve and Noah. Part biblical parable, part family drama, this high-spirited adventure will be directed by Robert Welch, who did our recent Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
    04/27/12- 05/06/12	Rapunzel The Players Club of Swarthmore Rapunzel Presented by The Players Club of Swarthmore at The Players Club of Swarthmore April 27-May 6, 2012 This classic fairy tale, written by PCS member Miriam Boland with Music written by Marty Hyde, is sure to be a delightful end to our second season! Pop Bean steals vegetables from Witch Sauerkraut’s garden to give to his pregnant wife. Furious at Pop Bean, Witch Sauerkraut takes their baby and puts her in a tower where her golden hair grows. Will Prince Parsnip be able to save the day? You’ll have to come and see the show to find out!
