The Islamic Cultural Preservation and Information Council (ICPIC), founded in 1991, is a nonprofit coalition of university scholars, educators, multi-disciplinary artists, parents and individuals. The purpose of the organization is to provide forums for the academic study and artistic expression of traditional and contemporary Islamic arts, culture, history, literature and beliefs. The mission is to preserve the rich cultural heritage and legacy of Islam in America so the legacy can be passed on to future generations and foster intergroup awareness, respect, tolerance and multicultural understanding. In all of its programs and services, ICPIC strives to preserve, protect and elevate the cultural heritage of Islam in America.
