Philadelphia-based baroque orchestra Tempesta di Mare was founded in 1996. Its Greater Philadelphia Concert Series has enjoyed a rapid rise to prominence on the local, national and international cultural maps since its launch in the fall of 2002, with full houses at each production and press endorsements from Philadelphia to Paris. Led by co-founders Gwyn Roberts, Richard Stone and concertmaster Emlyn Ngai, Tempesta di Mare's repertoire ranges from opera with full orchestra to chamber music.
