The Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia (CASP), under the direction of Matthew Glandorf, continues its dedication to performing stellar traditional works and premiering works by living composers. Adept with uplifting, brazen works as well as somber spirituals, CASP demonstrates sensitivity to texture, tone and mood in its repertoire of over 200 works by more than 100 composers in many languages. Amongst much-loved works by Brahms, Mozart and Prokoviev, CASP fearlessly presents new works by contemporary composers including MacMillan, Ligeti, Whitacre and Pärt. Artistic breadth is evident in its thoughtful performances, for which the chorus has been honored with regional and national awards for choral excellence. CASP comprises a 100-member symphonic chorus which includes a core of professional singers. CASP also offers small group performances for special events, galas and corporate promotions.
