Phoenixville Arts & Culture
Arts and cultural events happening in Phoenixville, Chester Springs, Kimberton, Collegeville, Spring City, Royersford, Valley Forge and surrounding areas. The circle design in the PAC logo is very loosely based on the Phoenix Column, the first hollow wrought iron column to be patented, which was invented by Samuel Reeves in 1862 and made by the Phoenix Iron Company. The Phoenix Column came to prominence at the Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition in 1876 and was used in the construction of bridges and buildings all over the world including the Eiffel Tower and the Brooklyn Bridge.
