Antiques Week
Antiques Week
Friday, April 17 through Saturday, April 25From April 17-25, the market for Americana is in high gear in Philadelphia. Two outstanding antique shows combined with an array of auctions, lectures and special events make this a prime destination for antiques enthusiasts.
The hub of the bustling marketplace is the well-established Philadelphia Antiques Show at The Navy Yard. Setting the standard for outstanding quality and integrity for 48 years, 50 leading dealers bring together the finest examples available today and attract collectors and dealers with a passion for the American past.
The 23rd Street Armory Show rounds out the offering of fine antiques and decorative arts, making this April weekend in Philadelphia a destination for collectors and dealers from all parts of the country. Fascinating, educational and fun...there's something for everyone in every price range, and a free shuttle service from 30th Street Station makes traveling to the shows easy and convenient.
For those who enjoy a passion for collecting and the thrill of live bidding, two excellent auctions also take place during Antiques Week in Philadelphia. Freeman's America's Oldest Auction House features Americana on April 19, while Pook and Pook has set April 24 and 25 as sale dates for its American and Continental Furniture and Decorative Arts auction.
To round out your Philadelphia visit for antiques, also plan some time to browse the antiques stores located on Pine Street within Historic Antique Row or visit the historic houses located throughout Philadelphia's famed Fairmount Park.
