EgoPo's year-long celebration of Samuel Beckett continues with this imaginative and unique staging of arguably the most important play in modern theater EgoPo's staging of Waiting for Godot utilizes rarely seen revisions to the original script that Beckett made himself when working on the play in Germany This leaner version helps the play move with the rapid comic pace Beckett so desired EgoPo has cast an ensemble of actors in their early to mid thirties to bring to life the infamous tramps By seeing performers who are in "mid-life," the weight of the waiting that has already occurred is heavy, but the sense of how much longer they must wait stretches out just as far Our version tresses the love that exists between the characters and is a tender and comic version that will entertain you whether you are a Beckett snob or brand new to his work

A bizarre and brilliantly imaginative excursion into the Theatre of the Absurd, which brings humor and arresting theatricality to the author's singular understanding of those who have been rejected and isolated by society

"The Gnadiges Fraulein, translated from German as "Gracious Lady," marked a startling departure in the work of Tennessee Williams Surreal, with abstract characters and nonsense dialogue, its action is in the spirit of an animated cartoon Williams himself called it a Slapstick Tragedy, "akin to vaudeville, burlesque, and slapstick, with a dash of pop art thrown in" It represents a trend in Tennessee Williams' late years toward the absurdist theatre of Beckett and Ionesco"

Written, imaged and performed by Flash Rosenberg with a special guest cameo by her brother, the famed musician and composer, Ken Rosenberg The best time you will have all year, promise Photographer/cartoonist Flash Rosenberg talks and walks through hundreds of original, projected images to challenge what we see with what we know This is optical humor Not jokes And not just funny pictures, but funny ways of picturing what we think we know to be true in the world Blending the logic of a scientist, the irreverence of a humorist, with the pith of a sage, she shows how a slice of pizza can define infinity She demonstrates how to make love archival, and how to laugh at the speed of light She translates what's visible into verbal snapshots This smart show is for anyone who has ever dreaded, taken, or been in a picture Rating: PG-13

If you come off the street, this off Broadway musical
seems just like any other wedding Instead of simply
watching a play, everyone who comes to Tony n’ Tina’s
Wedding becomes the friends and family of the bride
and groom Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding includes dinner
but is not a traditional dinner theatre performance
The very real and extremely funny wedding ceremony
happens first and is followed by the reception There is
a band, which plays songs typical of any current
wedding band The music is so energetic and
entertaining that you will not be able to get off of the
dance floor As the evening progresses the event
happens all around you You can participate by talking
and dancing with the family members who are all
actors or you can sit back and watch your friends and
other wedding guests interact with the wedding party
and guests Any way you do it, it is a wedding you don’t
want to miss!

The N Crowd turns 5 years old on Friday, April 23rd It has been a long 5 years of laughs and we want to spend our birthday with you! This year we will not be having our show at the Actors Center, but rather we will be performing at The Ruba! This awesome facility is right behind Silk City and has been one of the best kept secret hangouts in Philadelphia This show will feature a cash bar, a DJ, some cake, and the entire N Crowd performing on stage As you may notice, this even start and end time is quite long Show ends, dancing, and more drinks! Midnight - Our event officially ends, but we'll hanging out there for another couple of hours, so feel free to stick around So join us for some cocktails, some laughs, and celebrate 5 years of weekly improv comedy We couldn't do it without you Philadelphia! Remember, this is being held at Ruba Hall, not our usual stomping grounds at the Actors Center Also, because of the nature of this event, we can not accept any gift certificates for this show In addition, because there is a cash bar you must 21 or accompanied by an adult to attend
