<p><p>Carefully manipulating fragile sheets of Nepalese paper sparkling with silver leaf and mica, Kiki Smith installed two walls of PAFA&rsquo;s gallery with an array of small and large-scale works, building a frieze at once intimate and also universal In conversation with Jose Roca, Philagrafika&rsquo;s Chief Curator and Artistic Director, and Julien Robson, Curator of Contemporary Art at PAFA, Smith discusses the major themes in her work and an ongoing interest in printmaking techniques and processes, about which she says that, &ldquo;Prints mimic what we are as humans: we are all the same and yet every one is different I think there's a spiritual power in repetition, a devotional quality, like saying rosaries&rdquo;   Seating is limited so pre-registration is required Admission is free for those with PAFA membership cards; free after museum admission for the public&nbsp;</p></p><br />]]></description>

<p><p>Dutch master designer-artist Tejo Remy of the Legendary Droog Design house in Holland has amassed a well known career for creating daring work that looks like nothing else, yet always takes its form from reclaimed objects (Rag Chairs, Chest of Drawers, the iconic Milk Bottle Lamp)  From March 29 to April 1 Remy will lead teams of Drexel students in an exploration of hands-on design using mold making and employing humble, gathered materials (only use this if there is enough space, if not use what is not highlighted)   On Thursday April 1 a public lecture on Remy&rsquo;s design philosophy and latest design technique impromolding will be held at 7 pm in Stein Auditorium (111 Nesbitt Hall, 3215 Market St)  Drexel student work will be on display in the lobby of Nesbitt Hall, an exhibition of the creating and making that has taken place over the four-day Charrette</p></p><br />]]></description>
