    April is Poetry Month. Come, share your verse with an appreciative audience! The Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library will host its 5th poetry open mike event. The program titled, “A Poetry Open Mike with Guest Readers Dr. Allen Hoey and Bucks County Poet Laureate Bernadette McBride,” features the poetry of Bucks County Community College professors Dr. Allen Hoey and Bernadette McBride The event is also an invitation to the public to share their creative writings with an attentive audience, read the poetry of someone who inspires them, or the works of a poet whom they admire. Allen Hoey has published six collections of poems and three novels. The 2009 Bucks County Poet Laureate Bernadette McBride has had her poetry appear in numerous journals and was a finalist in the 2009 Robert Fraser Poetry Contest. An educator for most of her adult life, McBride currently teaches in the English Department at Temple University and the Language and Literature Department at Bucks County Community College.
