SymphonyScape is a Symposium on Gardens and Design to benefit the Kennett Symphony. This event benefits the concerts and other programs of the Kennett Symphony Chester County’s only all-Professional orchestra, now in its 69th Season. Also sharing in the day’s event is the Kennett Beautification Committee and its volunteers from the area Garden Clubs. Starting with a continental breakfast, the day features two highly regarded speakers, Mr. Paul Redman, Director of Longwood Gardens and the Lady Henrietta Spencer-Churchill, internationally known lecturer, author, and Interior Designer. The Atrium of the Grand Ballroom at Mendenhall will have educational displays from Master Gardeners, Arborists, and Landscape Architects to consult with you and answer your gardening questions, as well as Vendors and suppliers. Guests will be able to purchase raffle tickets for a variety of rare and elegant baskets. Music will be provided by musicians from the Kennett Symphony, plus a continuous slide presentation will be shown during the Springtime Lunch buffet. The speakers will be available to sign books in the atrium at the end of the day.
