Please join Ars Nova Workshop for the record release celebration of Allison Miller's latest recording, Boom Tic Bom (Foxhaven Records). NYC-based drummer Allison Miller defies all boundaries bringing her individual sound to diverse types of music while preserving their stylistic authenticity. Allison goes from playing with legendary songwriting vocalists Ani DiFranco, Brandi Carlile and Natalie Merchant, to performing with Marty Ehrlich, legendary organist Doctor Lonnie Smith, Erik Friedlander and Steven Bernstein. The Philadelphia debut of Miller's quartet features a stellar all-star unit. Pianist Myra Melford is a sonic explorer whose career has been defined by a restless curiosity and openness to collaborative creativity.
