Join the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia in Fairmount Park for an action-packed spring celebration of Japanese arts and culture! The centerpiece event of Philadelphia's Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival, Sakura Sunday is a day under the blossoms full of spectacular sights and performances, with plenty of hands-on fun for the whole family. This year's features include Tamagawa Taiko drum & dance, live performances from Japanese pop punk band UZUHI and others, a "Subaru Sushi Experience," martial arts demos, origami, calligraphy & crafts stations, souvenir & art vendors, a Japan America food court, cherry tree planting ceremony, Japan’s Cherry Blossom Queen, the "Prettiest Pet in Pink" contest, tours of Shofuso Japanese House and Garden and much more!
