Celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with a very special day of activities at the historic Mill at Anselma. Learn about floriography, the art of communicating with flowers, and take home your own sample “tussie-mussie” (additional fee not included in admission.) The day will also feature the beautiful and centuries-old art of wheat-weaving. Admission also includes a tour of the historic Mill at Anselma, where you can watch wheat being turned into flour and sample some baked delicacies in our gift shop. The Mill at Anselma (c. 1747) served its local agricultural community for three centuries and is considered the most complete example of a Colonial-era custom grist mill in the United States. Now restored and recognized as a National Historic Landmark, the Mill at Anselma provides a powerful educational resource, allowing visitors to experience Chester County’s industrial and agricultural past through flour milling demonstrations, tours of the site and hands-on family activities. Sponsored by Elaine's Flowers of Chester Springs.
