Mimi Jones is a bassist, vocalist, and composer, whose elegant sound is an eclectic mix of genres based on a strong jazz foundation that leaves room for funky bass grooves, and world beat rhythms. In 2009, Jones released her debut CD, A New Day. As a 'sideman', she has performed with Lionel Hampton and Roy Hargrove, among others.
