Art After 5: Sharon Katz & The Peace Train
April 2, 2010
South Africa’s Sharon Katz & the Peace Train have been musical ambassadors for peace and reconciliation throughout the world for over a decade. Their first U.S. release, Imbizo (2002), was nominated for a Grammy Award, and they appeared on the recording Carnival! Rainforest Foundation Concert with Sting, Elton John, Tina Turner, and Luciano Pavarotti. Their intricate harmonies, Afro-jazz-worldbeat rhythms, and Zulu dancing take you on a joyride to the heart of South Africa and its people.
