OutWithTheKids.com presents: Laura Doherty Laura Doherty acoustically rocks your kid's world with her breezy folk-pop tunes for the whole family! The Chicago-based children's artist delivers a highly interactive show that includes songs about living in the city, and more, as seen through a child's eyes. "Laura's warm, sunny, friendly voice, is reminiscent of Dar Williams and Shawn Colvin. She mixes bluegrass and folk with hints of jazz and rock into a very pleasing hybrid. Her fine mix of city songs and country charm is irresistible to both children and parents." -Lahri Bond, Parent's Choice Awards "Kids in the City", Doherty's debut children's album, was honored as a Top 10 Kid's CD of 2009 by Time Out New York Kids Magazine, in addition to snagging a 2009 Gold NAPPA AWARD and the Gold Parent's Choice Award. This show is appropriate for ages 2 - 6 years of age.
