Movement Brigade leads an investigative journey into what is absurd--in performance, in real life, and when the two intersect. Audience members are asked to dress absurdly for the partiformance and are invited to share in absurd art-making. New dance theater work will be shown by Eleanor Goudie-Averill (Stone Depot Dance Lab), Tim Popp, Daniele Strawmyre (readySetGO), and Alie Vidich (Movement Brigade). The partiformance is enchanted with the musical accompaniment of DJ Tony East of the local radio show, the Lion's Den Philly (WPEB 88.1FM). He will be spinning various musical genres including house, hip hop, reggae, dub, and electronic music. The audience will be guided through interactions involving DJ Tony East’s music. In addition, random impromptu performances will take place by unannounced performers throughout the night. The audience is asked to watch these events, interact with them, and be a part of the event. An open-minded heart and absurd costume is strongly recommended
