A Note Suspended in Time: The Musical Masters of Laurel Hill
April 25, 2010
Music serves many roles in society: it entertains, educates, and can even become a focal point for entire lives. Music is also an important part of the death process. Music is used to comfort those left to grieve, as well as to commemorate and celebrate the lives of the deceased. From musicians and composers to critics and singers, music was a key element in the lives of many who now rest at Laurel Hill. Along the way you will also discuss the role of music in the funerary process as well as differing types of music, which are as wide-ranging and varied as the people on the tour.
