LECTURES & LITERATURE

Play Reading: Corner Wars
March 22, 2010
Come out to the Penn Museum to support Philadelphia playwright, Timothy Dowlin! Corner Wars, a two act play, is the story of a day in the life of a group of young drug dealers working a street corner in North Philadelphia. As Mr. Dowlin's literary debut, Corner Wars was first produced at 47th Street Theater in New York by Theater for a New Generation in 2003. The play has won Newsday's George Oppenheimer award and been praised in a New York Times Theater review as being "conceived, written, and performed with earnestness and energy." The playwright himself, Mr. Dowlin, will join for a question and answer period following the reading!
