Scholars of urban America will be present, whose life work has been dedicated to a theoretical and practical understanding of US intercity poverty, ethnic segregation, and the history of drug use.  Speakers include: Philippe Bourgois - Professor of Anthropology and Family & Community Medicine, University of Pennsylvania; Elijah Anderson - Professor of Sociology, Yale University; Eric Schneider - Adjunct Professor of History, University of Pennsylvania; Michael Katz - Professor of History, Research Associate in the Population Studies Center, University of Pennsylvania. Join the Penn Museum for an enlightening evening inspired by the Righteous Dopefiend: Homelessness, Addiction, and Poverty in Urban America exhibit on view now at the Museum.
