When in Rome...Spring Festival
March 29-April 9, 2010
Visitors are invited to a Roman-style spring festival, featuring educational programs and workshops focusing on a range of topics, from Roman military to sports, and architecture to jewelry. At activity tables, kids can create their own gladiator helmets, laurel crowns, and mosaics, and get an up-close look at authentic gladiator gear during a special presentation. Even censuses and taxes are fun at the Center, as visitors learn about these legacies left to us from our Roman predecessors, and discover why they are an important part of any republic.
