The Museum and the surrounding neighborhood are abuzz with family-friendly activity for the annual Fairmount Arts Crawl. Visit the Perelman Building for an exploration of kanthas, colorful embroidered quilts made by Bengali women that tell stories of life in Bengal (modern day Bangladesh and the state of West Bengal, India), as well as snake goddesses, great Bengal tigers, ten-headed demons, and more. Try your hand at embroidery and take guided tours of the exhibition: Kantha: The Embroidered Quilts of Bengal from the Jill and Sheldon Bonovitz and the Stella Kramrisch Collections.
